By charter, the SGVCCA is non-political and non-sectarian, and is incorporated as a non-profit, tax-exempt organization, supported and maintained by the contributions and donations of its members and friends to help defray the cost of promoting the cultural and language programs. History Built on strong desire to enrich their children's lives with their cultural heritage, the founders established the San Gabriel Valley Chinese Cultural Association in 1968. The Association has been embraced over the past 40 years by many members not only for the educational and cultural aspects that it had to offer, but also a haven for life long friendships. SGVCCA can boast current participation from third generation members.
