South Bay Chinese Women's Association (SCBWA)

Mission Statement
  • To create and maintain a vibrant, supportive social environment for families of SBCWA.
  • To share and learn with each other.
  • To contribute back to the South Bay Community.

    History
The SBCWA founded in 1993, was born out of a need for forming a peer group to support and promote personal growth of Chinese women in our community. Over the years, they have held meetings and seminars on various topics for information exchange and social gathering, but most importantly, members have formed new and lasting friendships.

    Activities/Achievements/Awards
Today, the Association grew from the original nine to over 100 members. Currently, there are more than ten special interest clubs covering a wide range of activities including: Toastmasters, a book club, writing workshops, a computer club, karaoke, travel, exercise, mahjong, dances, tennis, walk a city, member socials, E-mail, Chicken Soup Club and Youth Leadership.

    SBCWA website is at www.sbcwa.org.
