Tzi Ma

  Tzi was born in Hong Kong and and raised in New York City surrounded by music, diverse cultures and an eclectic lifestyle. Defying tradition, he studied classical theater and dance, receiving numerous awards for his work in such stage productions as The Dance and The Railroad, In Perpetuity Throughout the Universe )both plays written especialy for Tzi by David Henry Hwang and Eric Overmyer, respectively; and The Forgotten. He also starred in the world premiere production of the reworked version of Flower Drum Song. Tzi's film credits include Akeelah and The Bee, Alpha Dog, The Ladykillers, The Quiet American and Millennium; and guest starring roles on such shows as Commander in Chief, The Practice, Jag, The Bernie Mac Show, ER and Deadwood.
