Russell Wong

Russell was born in New York, where he studied film production to broaden his knowledge of the entertainment industry, in which he excels as one of Hollywood's leading Asian American actors. His knowledge of martial arts enables him to do his own stunt work, while his "matinee idol" looks and chaarismatic presence make him an ideal romantic hero. Since his theatrical debut in the miniseries Tai-Pan, Russell has starred in such films as Eat a Bowl of Tea, China AGirl, China Cry, The Joy Luck Club, Takedown and Romeo Must Die opposite Jet Li. He also stared in the TV series Vanishing Son and such episodics as Commander in Chief, CSI and Touched by An Angel. For his achievements in acting and his standing as an excellent Asian American role model, Russell has been honored by the Organization of Chinese Americans, the Media Action Networks for Asian Americans and the Asian American Arts foundation.
