Ming first won attention with her touching and critically acclaimed
performance in
Joy Luck Club. After four and a half seasons as Dr. Jing-Mei Chen on the
hit NBC series ER, she recently became the first Asian American actress
to lead a primetime network drama on NBC's Inconceivable. Born in Macau,
Ming-Na and her family immigrated to New York City when she was 6. She fell in
love with acting after her first stage experience in the third grade, and
received the first contract role for an Asian-American actor in a daytime
drama--as Lien Hughes on As the World Turns. Other credits: The
George Lopez Show, Law and Order SVU, The Single Guy, Street Fighter
and the voice of Disney's Mulan. Ming-Na formed Innovazion Records to
produce and promote mainstream Asian-American music talent. She has been
included in People Magazine's 100 Most Beautiful People, named one of the
100 Most Influential Asian Americans of the past decade by a Mazagine, and
included into the Cammittee of 100.
