Jodi Long

Jodi was born in Queens, New York, where hers was the only Asian family and her parents the only vaudevillians on he block. She made her Broadway debut at the age of 7 in Sidney Lumel's Nowhere To Go But Up, graduated from New York's Peroforming Arts High school (of "Fame" renown), and studied acting at Purchase College. Her performance in Loose Ends on Broadway led to her first movie part, opposite Jane Fonda in Rollover. Determined not to be typecast, Jodi has played many stage roles not traditionally identified with Asians: Ophelia in Hamlet, Billie Dawn in Born Yesterday and Cherie in Bus Stop, to name a few. She was back on Broadway recently, starring in the new Flower Drum Song. She has starred in such TV series as Miss Match, All American Girl, and Cafe Americaine; her movies include Striking Distance, The Hot Chick andThe Pickle. Jodi also appears in her own one-woman show, Surfing DNA, which debuted at the Mark Taper Forum's New Works Festival and played at New York's Public Theatre.
