James Hong

James was born in Minneapolis, moved to Hong Kong at age 5, and returned to the Midwest five years later, having to learn English again. He majored in civil engineering at college to please his parents, graduated from USC, and practiced his vocation for a year and a half before giving in to his desire to perform--in the Hong and Parker comedy team, appearing on The Groucho Marx Show. One of Hollywood's busiest actors, James' acting career spans five decades with over 475 credits. A founder of East West Players and the Association of Asian Pacific American Artists, James' film credits include Love is a Many Splendored Thing, Big Trouble in Little China, Blade Runner, Red Corner and (speaking French) L'idole. His TV shows include Seinfeld, West Wing, The X Files and Have Gund, Will Travel.
