Chao-Li Chi

  Chao-Li was born in China and came with his parents to America in 1939. A Scholar, teacher and actor, he was educated in New York City, has studied a number of dance disciplines as well as human ecology, ethics and sociology, and holds Master's Degrees in Dance Education and Philosophy. His special skills include fencing, wrestling and martial arts. Chao-Li has served on the graduate faculty at the New School for Social Research in New York and is a longtime Tai Chi instructor in Los Angeles. He has performed in concerts and clubs, appeared on Broadway in Time Limit, and was in the national company of the original Flower Drum Song. A series regular on Falcon Crest with Jane Wyman for nine seasons, Chao-Li's acting credits also include the movies Wedding Crashers, What's Cooking, The Joy Luck Club and Big Trouble in Little China; and such TV shows as Party of Five, Martial Law, NYPD Blue and The Tonight Show.
